Semi Detached House at Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur

This is a house we did way back in 2005/2006, which we recently had a chance to revisit. The job scope was architectural and interior design, and we worked closely with the contractor in choosing the appropriate finishes to achieve a modern yet homely look.

The entry/ground floor level is largely open space, with the living room separated from the dining by a partition wall.

The living room opens up to a raised courtyard, with the terrace enclosing the landscape along the living room and the rear of the house.

The living room and dining both shares views to a skylight covered lanai, and shows of the interesting termination of timber, marble and tumble stone finishes.

The dining is elevated above the lanai and living room level and separated from the kitchen by builtin counter.

The large island counter is the prominent feature of the kitchen, with a lot of natural light coming from the wet kitchen on one side and a view towards the lanai on the other.
